Who Are We?
The Tangency Foundation is a nonprofit activism literacy organization founded on July 11, 2016 by a group of community stakeholders in Miami, Florida for the express purpose of closing the activism literacy gap. Activism Literacy is the intersection of skills and knowledge required to address the challenges that communities face, and an appreciation of the facts that not all communities face the same challenges, nor are the resources for addressing these challenges equitably distributed throughout. The organization has adopted the Humanitarian Charter. and actively aligns itself with the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals as part of the 2030 Agenda.
“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.”
- Anne Frank
By engaging educators, activists, policymakers, and influencers we aim to support the development of a sustainable, equitable future for the plurality of stakeholders and communities globally. Through innovative programming and partnerships, we hope to eradicate the barriers to equitable development through engaging and educational multimedia content. We hope that through perpetual effort, nonviolent engagement, and consistent education, we can impact the planet in a positive way.
We are a community linked by two things:
the desire to make things better,
and the knowledge that we can.
